BellaBox September 2012

I love coming home to find a little blue parcel waiting at the door for me! Always makes me smile after a bad week at work! 

1) Savoir Faire Concealer Kit RRP $35 for a full size dual concealer kit Sample size: 4 concealers & 2 finishing powders about the size of a 5c piece.

What a cute little sample kit! 4 different shades to play with from concealing to contouring and 2 finishing powders to set the look. The concealers are deliciously creamy and a dream to apply with amazing coverage and the powders are light and not heavy. I will definitely be buying the full sized product and its great to know what shades suit me from this sampler before spending my money on the full sized product. I rate this product a 5/5. 

2) Bioderma Sebium Foaming Gel RRP $24.95 for 200ml Sample size: 10ml.

I'm pretty set in my ways when it comes to a daily skincare product and am yet to find anything to impress me enough to replace my current regime but this one comes close! This is a really nice daily cleanser and left my skin feeling very clean & purified. And the price tempts me... for a cheaper skincare line it certainly doesn't feel cheap! I am very tempted to give this a proper long trial after my current regime has run out. I rate this product a 5/5. 

3) You, Me & Everybody Sumptuos Skin Mousse RRP $13.99 for 75ml Sample size: 75ml Full sized product.

I don't think I have ever used a skin mousse for the body before! This was fun to use and it absorbs really fast and is non greasy which I love and my skin did feel well moisturised after using this. I do however have to argue the 'fragrance free' promise. Maybe I just have a sensitive nose to smells but this definitely had a smell to me and its not very nice. Even after washing my hands I can still smell it. Pity. I rate this product a 3/5. 

4) Bioderma Sebium AKN Purifying Corrective Care RRP $24.95 for 30ml Sample size: 5ml.

Another nice Bioderma product to try. I don't know how other people feel but I really like getting more then 1 skincare product in a range to try out, especially when I am so impressed with one product. Usually the second product seals the deal for me to buy the full sized product! And guess what, this one certainly does that! My skin feels amazing after using this cream! No wonder it was the winner of an Australian Beauty Award. I rate this product a 5/5 and am off to buy this range now! Wow! 

5) Benefit Its Potent! Eye Cream RRP $32 for 14g Sample size: 3g.

We all know I am a big Benefit fan so I am always super happy to get their products to try! This eye cream comes in the sweetest little pot and feels very creamy and luxurious! I have a lot of problems with dark circles under my eyes so I am excited to use this product over the next few weeks and see how it goes. Thanks Bellabox for supplying a generous sized sample to do so! I will come back & rate this product after a proper testing!

6) USPA Beehold RRP $32 for 150ml Sample size: 30ml.

I really liked this product. I have unruly wavy hair which I normally straighten and am always on the lookout for products to help work with my natural curl then against it. I used some of this after washing then put my hair in plaits and slept in it overnight and this morning I have a lovely curl which is full of body and has worked wonders on my split ends. Will definitely be buying! I rate this product a 5/5. 

Overall I really enjoyed this months Bellabox. They also threw in a $15 voucher to use for The Iconic on a minimum spend of $69 and it doesn't expire til the end of December so I will definitely hang onto that one to use when I'm shopping for Xmas gifts! I was particularly impressed with the Bioderma skincare products and the Savoir Faire sample concealer kit. Another awesome month from Bellabox! 

BellaBox June 2012 Review

Oh Bellabox you really do light up my day! I just about squealed with excitement when I unwrapped this month's box of goodies. Lets have a look at what those amazing beauties at Bellabox have in store for us this month!

1) Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream- Cult RRP $59 for 48.3gm Sample size: 3.5gm

I know I have said it before and let me just say it again I am absolutely in LOVE with Benefit Cosmetics! So I was stoked to receive some Benefit skin care products in this months box. This hydra-concentrated facial cream is to help improve moisture & radiance for dry skin. Firstly I love the smell of this cream- you can smell the mango butter and its divine! Very silky & creamy and absorbs easily with no greasiness afterwards. Yum, yum, yum!! I rate this product a 4.5/5.

2) Be In Awe Vimala Cleanser RRP $39 for 150ml Sample size: 2x 3ml sachets AND Codayati Renewal System RRP $120 for 50ml Sample size: 5ml

This is a brand I have never heard of before so was super excited to try them out. Australian made & owned and free from any nasties like SLS's, parabens etc. The cleanser feels very 'clean' and is very gentle but effective for removing make-up & all the day's stresses from the skin. The cute little renewal system pump action cream has lots of nice ingredients like Retinol and Gotukola for improvement of skin's little imperfections. The cream has a nice neutral scent and absorbs lightning fast and feels wonderful. A new favourite! I rate these products a 4.5/5. 

3) Pure Fiji Body Butter- Pineapple Fusion RRP $29.95 for 235ml Sample size: approx 20ml?

Oh wow this smells so good you just want to eat it! What a fabulous sized sample pot of body butter which is perfect for treating dry winter skin and the smell takes you to a tropical island straight away! Yummy! I rate this product a 4/5.

4) Benefit Porefessional Pro Balm- Cult RRP $58 for 22ml Sample size: 7.5ml

A lovely generous sample sized tube from Benefit. I am obsessed with pore refiners and make-up primers so was a happy little Vegemite to get this product. I LOVE the texture of this balm when applying and once its on it feels like there is nothing there- it blends so wonderfully and makes the skin appear so smooth and refined instantly. If there is one thing I am buying full-sized this month it is this! Wow! I rate this product a 5/5. 

5) Fan Di Fendi Fragrance- Fun Loving RRP $95 for 30ml Sample size: small sachet

Oh nice! We all know I love getting fragrance samples so was excited to find this. It smells divine and has a very grown-up feel about it and I cant wait to wear it to a night out at the burlesque club in a few weeks for my birthday matched with a black lacy dress & fishnets. Ooh la la! 

6) Sally Hanson Colour Quick Chrome Fast Dry Nail Pen RRP $16.95 each Sample size: Full-size

I got the pink chrome colour which is more like a very light pastel purple. I was a bit worried at first when I saw this product- nail polish in a pen what the? But I was soon having fun doing my nails with this no mess no fuss nail colour pen. What a great little idea to do your nails on the run- don't have to worry about spilling a little pot of polish over like I always do! Very fun! And very quick drying as always with Sally Hanson. I rate this product a 4.5/5.

7) Olea Olive Leaf Drops RRP $6 for 12 drops Sample size: 4 drops

I thought this was a really cute little sample for Bellbox to include as we come into the flu season here in Australia. Olive leaf extract & Manuka honey drops for when you get sick with a cold. I'm sure these will come in handy soon enough! 

What a massive month from Bellabox filled with amazing products for winter. Bellabox continues to be one of the very best beauty sample boxes in Australia and if you are tossing up as to subscribing I'm sure this month's review will help you with that decision! 

BellaBox April 2012

Its that time again my little rabbit beauties! Sample box time! Kicking off the April boxes is BellaBox. The theme this month is 'around the world in fashion' to celebrate Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. 

1) Hollywood Feet Heel Cushions RRP $9.95 for 2 pair Sample Size: 2 pair (full-sized product)

These gel cushions sit under your heels in your stiletto's so you don't get sore tootsies while being discreet so you still look fabulous. I have used this product before and they are great so was happy to get some more in this months box. I rate this product a 5/5. 

2) OP Therapy Body Hydrator RRP $19 for 75mls Sample size: 75mls (full-sized product)

This is an unscented cream for sensitive skin and also good to relieve symptoms of dry & chapped skin, sunburn and other skin ailments. It has a very rich texture and feels super creamy to apply. I am going to make this my new hand cream this month as I get flaky hands from washing my hands a million times a day at work and this cute tube is perfect to carry around. I also like that it is 100% Aussie and not tested on animals. I rate this product a 4.5/5. 

3) pure DKNY Verbena RRP $80 for 30mls Sample size: approx 3mls

I love getting perfume samples with these boxes! This smells absolutely divine and I will definitely be adding it my wish list! I rate this fragrance a 5/5.

4) ULTA3 Nail Polish RRP $2 for 13mls Sample size: 13ml (full sized product)

I got the colour Jade which is a lovely metallic green and for a cheap as chips nail polish its really nice! I was pleasantly surprised with the texture of this polish and we will see how it stands up to durability at my personal training session tonight. I rate this product a 4/5. 

5) Comvita Brightening Range RRP between $45- $79 for the whole range Sample size: 1.5ml of each. 

So these 3 little sachets have the brightening facial serum, exfoliant & protective moisturiser (SPF 15). The magic ingredient is the olive leaf extract which is an anti-oxidant powerhouse to give bright & clear skin. I am excited to try these tonight and will rate them again later! 

6) Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation RRP $55 for 30mls Sample size: 5ml

This was the one I was waiting for! I am a huge huge fan of Benefit Cosmetics and was stoked to hear when Bellabox announced a partnership with these guys. I received the 'petal' shade which matched my skin perfectly! It goes on like a dream and the coverage is just amazing! I think I have found my new everyday foundation! I rate this a product a 6/5 (yes I can do that!!) 

Overall I was really impressed with this month's Bellabox and the overall theme. If you are considering subscribing to Bellabox I highly recommend them- I have loved all their boxes so far and am yet to be disappointed! 

BellaBox Feb 2012 Review

This my first BellaBox and I am very impressed indeed! I have been thinking long & hard about cutting a few of my subscriptions but BellaBox is most definitely safe! So what do we have here? (left to right)

Star & Rose Confetti Soap Roses RRP $25.95 for 12 Sample Size: 2 roses (pink)

How cute! Soap in the shape of a rose. Gorgeous smell and would make the dullest bathroom look sweet. I rate this product a 4/5.

B by Bloom Collecta Eyeshadow Duo RRP $9.95 Sample Size: full sized

I got the 'Blue Mountains' shade. I don't normally wear blue as I have blue eyes and I usually wear colours on the opposite side of the colour spectrum but they are a wonderful colour and I could get away with a subtle application of this. The pot design is genius as-well- instead of a top opening lid the pot opens out sideways and is stackable with other colours which is awesome! I rate this product a 4.5/5.

Sass & Savy Citrus Hand Cream RRP $15 for 50ml Sample Size 5ml

We already received this product in this months Lust Have It! which is a touch disappointing (you would think Sass & Savy would know who they are giving their samples to? ) and I have already reviewed this as much as a hand cream can be reviewed. Will still get used though! 

Sparoma Shimmer Wrap RRP $44.95 for 150ml Sample size: 7.5mls??

This shimmer smells lovely and gives a very subtle hint of glisten which is great. I have a wedding coming up in a few weeks so will use this then. I rate this product a 4/5. 

Bloom Organic Hand & Body Wash RRP $38 for 500mls Sample size: 50mls

Another Bloom product which is fine by me! This smells amazing! Has aloe, ginseng & calendula extracts and leaves skin very soft and smelling divine! I rate this product a 4.5/5. 

We also got 2 chocolate hearts from The Chocolate Box and they were very tasty indeed!

For a Valentines box, Bellabox certainly ticked all the right boxes here and IMHO is the best of the Valentines boxes this month. The sweet smelling body wash, the rose soaps, the body shimmer, and a make-up product. Well done BellaBox you have impressed me! And I do love the packaging, very simple but very pretty as well.
