Lust Have It August 2012

||

Another exciting box from Lust Have It! this month. Lets take a peek at what we have here!

1) Tigi Rockaholic Rock Out Shine Blaster RRP $27.95 for 100ml Sample size: 100ml full sized product.

I LOVE getting hair products. We all know that. So a full sized Tigi product made my heart skip a beat when I opened up this month's box. I have a habit of trying to grow my hair but get fed up with it and cut it short all the time. This is the longest I have ever had my hair and it drives me insane but I am giving it another year of being long before chopping it off again. Its very hard to manage and the split ends bug me to no end. So anything to make my hair more manageable deserves a great review and this little bottle of oil is just wonderful. It has a cute candy like scent and even though its an oil it doesn't make my hair oily. It makes my hair feels nice & soft and gives it a beautiful shine which looks great on my jet black hair. I rate this product a 5/5 and will definitely be buying this again!

2) Appelles Skin Detox Shower Gel & Body Booster Skin Lotion RRP 12.95 for 100ml Sample size: 30ml of each.

This is a brand I hadn't heard of before. The gel & lotion both smell really yummy and for a cheaper budget priced buy I think they are a very nice product. The packaging is really cute as-well, I love the bold colours. I rate these products a 4/5.

3) ModelCo Eyeliner RRP $26 Sample size: full sized product.

I have about a zillion eyeliners so it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to an eyeliner. This one has a very handy sharpener built into the lid which is a cute idea. My first thoughts were 'at that price are you really just paying for the sharpener'. But after trying the eyeliner itself I can see where those extra dollars have gone. This goes on like a dream and is very highly pigmented. I hate having to apply eyeliner a few times to get a decent amount of colour but this one makes an impact right from the start. Love it! I rate this product a 5/5.

4) Marc Jacobs DOT fragrance RRP $160 for 100ml Sample size: 1.2ml.

The new fragrance from Marc Jacobs which is only just hitting our Aussie shelves. Not much I can really say about this. Its beautiful. I rate it a 5/5. I want more.

5) tanGo Tanning Glove RRP $29.95 per glove Sample size: 1 glove.

Its way too cold still to be breaking out the fake tan so I cant really comment on its use as a tanning removal glove but it can be used as a make-up remover which is what I used it for and its awesome. Its nice & soft and removes make-up well. I rate this product a 4/5.

6) Appelles Body Bay Vegetable Soap RRP $4.95 for 40g Sample size: 40g full sized product.

I decided to review this soap separately to the other Appelles products we received this month as its unisex and I wanted a man's perspective so I got my husband to try it. His verdict? 'Its alright. Its pink though, you sure this is ok for a guy?'. Hmm. Sounds like the average male response to a soap product review. I tried it and thought it was nice for a budget buy and I rate it a 4/5.

Overall I was very impressed with this months Lust Have It! and we got some lovely full sized products in there among some new brands I hadn't heard of before. Happy 1st birthday Lust Have It, you have had a wonderful year of beauty sample boxes and I look forward to what the next year brings for you!

Bellabox August 2012 Review

I always get a tiny thrill when I see the courier man has left that little blue box at my front door! Bellabox is by far my most favourite of all the beauty boxes, every month is always great. This month was no exception so lets dive in and see what we have! This months theme was all about keeping it green with natural products free from any nasty chemicals you find in everything nowadays.

1) Aurora Spa Rituals Shampoo and Conditioner RRP $40 each for 500ml Sample size: 50ml each.
This shampoo & especially the conditioner smell absolutely divine!!! I was immediately reminded of a little luxury tree-house my husband & I often stay at in Montville, it smells exactly like it. I found the shampoo lovely with minimal lather but it does a great job anyway and the conditioner made my hair super soft and shiny. I rate these a 5/5- just divine!

2) Emerginc Skincare Kombucha Cleanser & Phytocell Cream RRP $44 for 120mls (cleanser) & $105 for 50ml (cream) Sample size: 3mls each.
I have tried Emerginc skincare before and its not too bad. It is very potent stuff and feels very concentrated and lovely. I wouldn't use it everyday as it is quite expensive but as a treat to the skin it is wonderful. I rate these a 4/5.

3) Aveeno Daily Moisterising Lotion RRP $12.99 for 354ml Sample size: 29ml.
I love the little bottle its so cute. Aveeno is a great cheaper brand for everyday skincare and this moisturizer is great. Super quick absorbing and fragrance free. I use a lot of moisturizer on my hands for my job so this will work great as a hand cream for me. I rate this a 5/5 (you just cant go past the cheap price!)

4) Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner RRP $29.95 for 225g Sample size: 45g.
My heart always skips a beat when I see a Lush product! I am obsessed with Lush (my husband has banned me from buying anything from there at the moment haha!) so I was very happy to get my fix this month! This all over body conditioner smells like a big bunch of flowers and is super creamy and super yum like everything Lush make! I rate this a 5/5 (duh).

5) Luk Beautifeed Lip Nourish RRP $24.95 for 3g Sample size: Full-size.
This product isn't even available to buy yet. Its made of 100% natural and edible products and has a nice lemon & mint flavour for people like me who end up eating their lipsticks half the time! It looks very dark but once you put it on its a very natural shade and is very soothing and lovely to wear. I rate this product a 4/5.

6) Phytocare Daily C Vitamin C Powders RRP $17.80 for 30 sachets Sample size: 2 sachets.
I thought this was a cute little sample to include, especially on the tail end of winter and during the flu season here in Australia! Little individual sachets of vitamin C (1000mg) to mix up with your breakfast each morning and they are free from all the nasty sugars & artificial colours & flavours.

Overall I think Bellabox have done another wonderful job this month and I got to try some new brands I have never heard of before which is always fun. Bellabox is most definitely value for money and they always have a great variety of products to sample. If you don't already subscribe to Bellabox I highly recommend you do! They are, in my honest opinion, the top beauty sample box service in the country.
